About Our FamilyGlen Arbor at Faithwalkers 2009

Glen Arbor is a non- denominational, Bible believing community church serving the community of West Chicago. Our Sunday Services run from 10:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., followed by coffee and refreshments.  A children's Sunday School and nursery are provided during this time as well.

Vision and Values

We believe God started Glen Arbor with the vision of effectively reaching the greater Chicago area with the gospel of Christ!  Glen Arbor is an effective base for evangelism. We train and assist Christians in evangelism, to be effective in whatever arena they may be involved in.

Glen Arbor is a strong disciple making community. We assist each member to grow in knowledge, practice, skills and character. We help each member discover their spiritual gifts and God's special place for them in ministry.

In order to accomplish our mission , Glen Arbor has a strong leadership development commitment. We see leaders raised up in a church environment similar to the expectations in Titus 1 and 1 Timothy 3. As the leaders are raised up, we train them in leadership positions within the church.

Glen Arbor is a church planting church. We assist in church planting and development in the metropolitan area. We help in the training and ongoing support of church plant teams as they are raised up in Glen Arbor.

Glen Arbor is a servant church. We strive to be effective in our own community- providing a place of worship, healing, growth, and effective outreach.

Sunday Morning at Glen Arbor

Every Sunday morning, Glen Arbor gathers for worship, teaching, and fellowship. Coffee is provided right away for those still waking up!

The service starts at 10:00AM with our music team leading us in worship with contemporary and modern Christian worship styles. Our aim is to turn our hearts towards God.

After this there is a Bible teaching either going through the Bible verse by verse or looking at pertinent topics for helping our lives. The aim here is to not just acquiring knowledge but to apply the Bible in an understandable way in our lives.

The Children begin the morning in their Sunday School classrooms, and then join their parents during worship at the end of the service.

The last part of the Sunday Morning is the fellowship time after the service. This is where we interact around cookies, cake and coffee. For some this goes on as long as the service!
